Amy Staha (#1) – 5’-9” Shooting Guard: Pflugerville High School Panthers
2012 - Amy is back on the floor stronger than ever and is excited about her senior season at PHS and beyond. Amy's rehab from her knee injury in Fall 2011 is complete and she is ready to pick up where she left off which makes all of us (especially her coaches) smile!!!
2011 - Amy started every game for the Rising Stars in 2011 and was the leading scorer for the season. Amy is a pure shooter that hit 38 three pointers during the summer 2011 evaluation period. Amy handles the ball well and defensively has great length and anticipation skills. Amy simply understands the game and has an incredible basketball IQ.
As a sophomore at PHS in 2011, Amy moved up to Varsity during State playoffs and saw significant time because of her 3-point shooting. Hands down, Amy is the best pure shooter that I have ever coached. Amy maintains an outstanding passion for basketball and her work ethic clearly shows in her shooting ability. When not in school, she resides at the gym. Unfortunately, during HS practice in October 2011, Amy tore her ACL and was sidelined for the PHS 2011/2012 season. Amy had successful knee surgery in December 2011, and her rehab is going great. Amy will be back later this summer and for her senior season to continue to showcase her skills in preparation for an outstanding collegiate career.
